The French - American Alliance Coin of World War I
This silver plate medal was first sold to help fighting solfiers of World War I. It was created in memory of the French and American alliance by the French artist GASTON LAVRILLIER and shows the profiles of George Washington and Marquis de Lafayette. It dates back to 1917. After the war, the same medal was issued as an award to French and American soldiers.
